What is the best patch for battlefield 2?

I tryed 1.14 but it messed up the game, so now I'm re installing it. and I downloaded it off of ea.com What is the best one to get, where I'll be able to play online still.

1.4 is the best. if it messed up the game you should contact battlefield support and see what they can do. i have 1.4 and i work good enough to play.
