why is it that some arab men are so restrictive towards their sisters, wives etc. But then go and do exactly what thay tell their sisters not to do i.e. Have sex with white women and drink etc. I can't understand why you expect your women to be virgins, when your not virgins yourself and why arab women can't date white men when you date white wome. its so hypocritical.
BTW, i know not all arabs are like this, but unfortunately some are.

If you ever look at their literature (including the koran) you'll quickly discover why...
It's a very male dominated culture where men can do whatever they please and women are heavily restricted. Men can drink and have sex with women and do whatever they hell they want, but women have to hide behind clothing, can't speak often, aren't entitled to their own views, etc. It's a culture where it's not uncommon for a woman to get raped and then she gets hanged to death while the men get minimal punishment - that's even happened recently.
Their culture hasn't evolved or changed much over the last many centuries, so you're dealing with people who are quite literally as they were in the dark ages. And this is ok because their holy book clearly instructs this.
Obviously this doesn't apply to all Arabs, and certainly less to arab Americans and others who've become more assimilated into western culture but it's still a present reality in the middle east.

I know - its something to do with the religion (or the extreme view of the religion) that some countries have. But really is it any different here (to a lesser extreme) if a woman here sleeps around shes promiscuous and all the rest but if a guy does it oooh what a manly man - pride of men. And it wasnt that long ago that western women were expected to be virgins as well - when the men could go do whatever they pleased.

well first u corrected a mistake at the end acknowledging that not all arab men r like this,its a trend u have observed ,like any other in any society men go for women ,y women cant do the same freely ,thats becoz its the major issue ,men can sin and no problems may arise but women might get into trouble u can say with illegitiamte pregnancies and its abig shame for arabs,no society is perfect ,so if your house is made of glass dont throw stones at other ppl ,take it more easy look at it as y america is in iraq???y jews kill arabs???y do americans drink alcohol???so many questions that cant be answered but u have to deal with them daily???

My husband is arab and we have been amrried for 2 years. Just always joke, have fun and be happy. At my home, we donot bring any problems inside. If he has a bad day at work or if I did, we leave it at the door and inside the house we put on a smile. Live a nice clean life. No drugs, smoking, drinking. Just like anyother relationship. Good luck with your new love. Arab, Muslim men treat their wives like the jewels they are. My husband always brings me home gifts just because he was thinking of me while he was away from me.

I am Arabic man, I agree with you its due to our culture
I drink and have gf but dont wanna that to my family because its sin and bad, and hope i will stop doing this
I never have a relations with muslima only with non muslim womens
you should ask these question to other side, those non muslim womens why they date with arab man without marriage ?
Arabic women they raised to listen to their parents but Man they do as they like

I totally agree with you too shame most of Arabs are!!! Time has prove that they are very negative nation unless they follow Islam ! which they don't . What i mean is that the only period that Arabs wheree good and positive nation was when they wher following Islam and too bad now days Islam for them is violence and killing instead of being good and productive person in community and respect your female family and other females as same !!!

tradition - it's not right, men shouldn't be so controlling to their sister, daughters, mothers or wives (some have a lot of wives). They shouldn't cheat and have affairs, and expect their sister and daughters to be good girl and knit. It's not fair and it really pisses me off too!
Those kind of men (all colors and nationalities) are just bastards!

i think it's because they don't care about there women they are slaves and possesions! plus they think the world should turn for them! I think all males have this desire!
