I have a broken one I need to get rid of. I just need to know if I should put in dumpster or if there are other options.

To dispose of it responsibly, you need to take it to the dump where they have an electronic waste disposal area. This is so the various chemicals in the circuit boards don't wind up in the ground. Electronics stores like Best Buy and Circuit city might offer a service or they could tell you any alternate drop off locations.

See if there are any electronics recycling programs in you area, that would be the best and most earth smart way to go about things. They do contain many elements that can be reused.
