Well,my favourite season is Fall because it's my bithday,but it also not to hot & not to cold!It's perfect!

As for most of the USA:
1. Springtime -- best from Late April to Early May in places like VA, AZ and in between. A spectacular time in Missouri also, quite memorable driving through. Cherry blossomtime in D.C., Appleblossom time in Shenandoah, VA area. Flowers, birds and bees.
2. Autumn -- beautiful in Utah and Northeast, best time varies and comes a bit later for more southerly. In UT there are beautiful oranges, greens and some yellows against blue sky. The autumn leaves turn many spectacular colors in NE.
AS far as Summer and Winter, if I had to nick one, it would be Summer because I cannot stand the HOT. I know, makes me different from most.
I vote for extending Springtime a commensurate amount though.
Winter can be beautiful, except for Upper MidWest. That would be corrected if the temperature were not allowed below 27 degrees F.
The MOST beautiful during Winter is the trip from SLC to mountain ski areas to the west. I prefer the southern ones. The clouds and moisture crystallize around the trees in SPECTACULAR fashion, bring your camera. Also, it is actually warmer up there when the sun is shining than it is down in the valley.
