we both just want a quick simple divorce no fighting no kids no problems other than how to do the paper work,she's SMI (sevely mentaly ill) so its up to me and I'm legaly blind .is It hard for a average person or is it pretty simple and just getting it read and filled out is the hardest part and is it legal how do you do it does any one know

If you are in Maricopa County, you can go to www.maricopa.gov and click on the Superior Court pages. On the Superior Court site, you can download all the documents you need for free. They have instructions, and the documents themselves. On the website, they also have legal counsel contact information. I believe that in your case of handicaps, you may possibly qualify for free legal counsel to help you in filling out the paperwork. Even with a consent decree, expect to pay around $500 for the divorce. It costs somewhere around $260 to file and then the respondent has to pay another fee, around the same amount.

I tried the same thing, but now my husband won't sign the paperwork. It's not too hard... but my advice is not to buy the kit, and to seek a lawyer because paralegals can do all the paperwork for you for about $250 plus filing fees. I do know that you won't need all of the forms that comes in the kit, simply because they do not apply to your situation. Hope this helps!

I would suggest using a document preparer. They are paralegals that are trained to prepare the paperwork. It is a little complicated and there are certain requirements that must be met before you can actually get the decree.
Look up Legal Document Preparers and you should be able to find some.
