Same sex marriage has been around since the dawn of time. There are records that show that there have been societies built around an integral, matriarchal structure, where men were only used to propagate the species. In others it was not seen as a topic that could not be decided by any others than the people involved. During thousands of years the subject has been taboo. Not until recently the subject had remained only latent both practically and socially.

The idea of same sex marriage and/or long term commitment by members of the same sex has been , is, and will continue to exist, with or without the consent of convention and opinion!
