A month ago would have been ideal. It takes about 3 cycles to get back to normal after birth control and you need to be on prenatals for 3 months before getting pregnant.

I stopped my pills the 7 of January. I am now 4 weeks pregnant. Ideally you should stop pills start taking vitamins for at least 2-3 months before trying.

You should start taking prenatal vitamins now - it won't hurt you to take them now and will help you build up strong folic acid and vitamin B12 levels before you conceive.
As for the pills, I'd stop taking them now - but be aware that you may get pregnant right away. I conceived within 2 weeks after I stopped them (and had been on them for 8 years).
Good luck!

Try stopping birth control now and start taking pre-natal vitamins. If you're not wanting to get pregnant any earlier than in 2 months, try using condoms...that way you're protected but you're also getting the birth control out of your system :)
Good luck!

Stop now and use condoms...it can take a bit for your cycle to regulate after being on birthcontrol. Also, start taking prenatal vitamins now.....it's always a good idea to take them before you actually get pregnant.

Is good to give your body a few cycles to get normalized after coming off birth control before trying to get pregnant. Prenatal vit.s can be taken now if you wanted - they won't hurt you.

It generally varies from person to person and cycle to cycle. It took us approximately 1 year to get pregnant after we stopped birth control, which the doctor didn't seem to think was odd. Hearing other peoples experiences, that seems to be fairly common. Yet have heard of some getting pregnant from one or two missed pills! So I think three months and prenatals was good advice, but be prepared for either getting pregnant immediately or not getting pregnant for awhile! check out http://www.babycenter.com/preconception/gettingpregnant/index#pregreadyBkmk for a lot of info on preparing to get pregnant. Hope it all works for you!

Honestly you should've already stopped the birth control and kept track of your ovulation dates. On average it takes someone who just got off the pill about 4 months to one year to get pregnant. Some are lucky and can right away...it is possible, but usually not likely due to your body needing to get back in it's regular routine with periods and hormones.
I got off the pill in July and tried the minute i got off and i didn't get pregnant until November.
Good Luck though.

The first time I got pregnant I was only off the pill for a month. Second time, two weeks!! I would start taking your pre-natals now, and stop the pill in a month.
