yesterday was a really bad day. it was a bad day because i was tring to help my dad take christmas lights down and i was on the roof and i fell off and i had to be brought to the hospital by an ambulance because i was unconcious. when i go to the hospital the doctors took a ct scan of my left knee and the found out that i tore my acl. and i am scheduled to have surgery in two weeks. doctors come into my room every day and press on my abdomen just to rule out any abdominal injuries as i go along. they do this because when the accident happended i fell off of the roof on my knee and my stomach. as you know i am still in the hospital, and the doctor that came into my room this afternoon (around 3:45) was pressing on my stomach, and when the doctor pressed on the left side i swear to god it hurt like hell and the same thing happended when the doctor pressed on the right side. what do you think this could be. the doctors have to wait on an x ray till tonight.

Your knees work hard during your daily routine, and a knee injury can make it hard for you to perform normal tasks. If your injury is severe, you may begin to experience pain when you are sitting down or trying to sleep.

Sometimes a total knee replacement is the only option for reducing pain and restoring a normal activity level. A total knee replacement involves replacing the damaged bone and cartilage of the knee joint, which provides articulating surfaces.

The total procedure takes approximately an hour to hour and a half to perform and recovery time varies between patients.

Further, you are suspecting appendicitis, if you are able to bear with it or able to post phone the surgery in case if you need to under go you can plan for medical tourism which will help you to save lots money by doing your medical procedure overseas. The price of knee surgery is very low in India as compared to USA, UK and Canada. My cousin also got her hip replacement surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as all joint surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by NHS in the UK. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

I doubt it would be appendicitis..appendicitis starts to hurt in the upper middle part of your stomach before it starts to hurt in your lower abdomen.

But you never know I guess...hope you feel better :-)

There is no way to tell without tests and that's what the MD does. Guessing: Appendix, inflamed ovaries, peritonitis.
