Not necessarily very smart, although modestly talented.

P=(2x16km) + (2x7.5km)

P=32km + 15km

P=47km

Hope this helps!

P = 47

2 x 16 = 32
2 x 7.5 = 15
32+15 = 47 = P

P= 47 km (kilometers)

2W= 7.5kmx2= 15km
2L= 16km x 2 = 32km
15km+32km= 47km
That is how you get the answer if that is the length and width.

here's how you do it:
Replace the variables (L and W) by the numbers you are given:

P=2(16)+2(7.5)

The ''2'' in front of the brackets means you must multiply what's in the brackets by 2, so:

P=32+15

Then add them:

P=47
