im a lover of original name or names that are uncommen.Emma is quite commen, you could just imagine taking your daughter to nursery and ther about 5 pegs in the cloakroom with the name emma next to it lol nice name but i personally wouldnt choose it. as for clarissa,ic a cousin called clarissa,i kinda like it but then my names marissa! lol and clarissa is less commen, its always a good idea to think about what nickname the childs friends may give her for the names ur thinking of.

Ema Maria sounds nice, but I would prefer Emma (2 "m"s).
Clarissa Sienna is a bit of a mouthful - one of the names should be a shorter one. And I immediately thought of one of the "Two Fat Ladies" (TV chefs)
I always think a longer name and a shorter name go well together.
I agree with the previous answer that suggested you check the initials don't spell anything embarrassing before registering the name!

so glad you changed the Ema to Emma - that would just be silly if it was spelt the first way.
I think Clarissa Sienna is going a bit far - maybe if she was a duchess or princess though (which of course she will be to mum:-) )

Emma Maria sounds lovely.

I like Ema Maria, but not so keen on Clarissa Sienna. Doesn't it remind you of that Melissa Joan Heart programme, pre-Sabrina?!?

Remember to take your last initial into account - you don't want to give a child unfortunate initials... I think Ema is nice - but I would go for the more traditional spelling of emma to avoid her being picked on - ema/emu...

When thinking of names you always need to take the point of view of the playground bully -

Ema - To be honest I'd nickname her Emu!

Clarissa - Do you remember that scene in silence of the lambs????

To really be able to tell we'd need to know the surname to see if it goes.

Emma is a nice name if we had, had a girl we were going to call her Hannah Louise but as it happens we had two boys. At the end of the day it is your choice and at lest you are not thinking about Kylie or one of the "trendy " names, you have to be happy with the names you choose so it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

Someone told me once that you should holler your prospective child's name really LOUD , several times. (as if you were calling them outside) - do you still like how the name sounds???

Another thing.... what can it be shortened to? Even a short name will end up getting turned into something else by friends, and by enemies. My son Sean ( a name I thought couldn't get switched) gets "Sean-ee" from some friends. When he was younger, he'd get teased with "Sean, Sean, leprechaun!" So, you just never know!!! LOL. --- oh yeah, be sure the initials don't spell something either.
