It seems like everything is whites against blacks? Where does this come from? Maybe there should be a national debate where people can say whatever they want to say and get things over with???

I-heart, please don't take any offense but I'm pretty sure you see what I mean when you go to Yahoo Answers.

Everything seems like it is whites against blacks when you can't learn to detach yourself from ignorance and negativity. The negative feelings come from slavery. Some African Americans are bitter and some white people are ignorant or want to stay on top. I don't know about a national debate but I think people need to be more sensitive to differences. Me personally, I have friends that are rich, poor, middle class, white, Latino, black, Christian, atheist, and so on and so on. If you find that people are always arguing it is because they don't understand each other and probably don't care to put in the effort to see things from the others point of view.

If there was a national debate, I think they'd all kill each other. Some stupid people would open their mouths and make some really racist and offensive comments, leading to a violent reaction from the other group, and a big chain of events, ending in a big riot, etc.. I don't think everything is whites against blacks, there's a lot less racism than there used to be. It just comes from caucasian people being raised by their parents to look down on african americans when they were still slaves, and an 'I'm better than you because I'm white' kind of attitude that used to be present decades of years ago, but sadly still is present in some areas.

Everything is not blacks vs whites. (hispanics, native americans, asians have their say too) A national debate wouldn't work. People have formed their own opinions about other races as well as their own. Everybody thinks that their answer is the right answer. The things that get argued about wouldn't get solved it would just be a big huge pointless argument.

lmao wth kinda question is this? I dont find white ppl to argue with and i dont find myself always arguing with white ppl, so im confused.

I dont want to presume but I think you mean to ask why is there what seems like this huge irreconcilable barrier between the black and white races? Well if youre here in America, then you already know why. I dont think we need a national debate, what we need is more patience and understanding with each other. Less judgment and more tolerance. It will only take time to heal and correct whats divided us, remember our country is still young, we may have a chance to change...

Yes, we all just need to come together and get out all this animosity that is inside. We need a forum to voice our feeling, concerns, fears, and desires. There are study circles that have formed in many communities that addresses this issue. People of different backgrounds come together to have a real talk about race. People can even get this things started at their schools or on their jobs. It is really need today. There is much too much hatred going around. The past is still haunting us in this very day.

I wasn't aware that white and black people were arguing all the time. I don't argue with black people. Actually, I get along very well with people of every color. Stop making this an "all of one race" issue. The fact is, there are people from every color who have a problem with other people of every color. Until we stop putting colors on people and holding each individual accountable for their own actions, there will be ignorant people who will continue to "stir up" trouble. Thank you.

Because they took us from the motherland, and placed us in the promised land...lol joking....but i really don't know. I guess it will always be that way...it has been passed down from generations to generations. Blacks are taught that whites are snotty and try to run everything, where as whites are taught that blacks are low class, and ghetto. They can go for both races, blacks can be snotty, and whites can ghetto. But, i really don't know...only time will tell. But, I will say blacks still can't get over, that their ancestors could have been slaves...i know it can be a little hard for me...because unlike any other race...we are the only group of people that can't trace our roots.

I think men and woman argue more than ANYONE on the planet! The only time I argue with White people is when I'm dating one! But that has nothing to do with his race!

It happens. I think it's pent up agression created by society and intolerant parenting.
And to correct you, it is not always the whites against the blacks...it goes both ways most of the time.
I also think that i has been going on for far too long, yet I still do not see it ending anytime soon.
It's really sad though.......
