This plant was bought for my grandmother several years ago when she was very ill. We bought it, and forgot its name, if we ever knew it. It's in rather bad shape, and has been re-potted recently. Some pictures: http://s82.photobucket.com/albums/j249/BPlantaJulii/?action=view¤t=100_0545.jpg http://s82.photobucket.com/albums/j249/BPlantaJulii/?action=view¤t=100_0542.jpg

Any help would be very appreciated. :)

The picture was fuzzy, but it looks like a split leaf philodendrons. (philodendron has many plants), type that in your computer, and you will find it, it looks like more leaves are coming too.
I don't know if that's the correct spelling.

From the pictures it looks like an ivy geranium of some kind. There are probably hundreds of varieties by now. Some were bred to have certain colored flowers and some were bred to have a certain scent--like ginger, for example. It's really hard to tell what kind until it flowers.

It looks like the plant pictured is in pretty bad shape. Ivy geraniums need lots of light and watered sparingly--only when completely dry or almost dry. Looks like this one has been watered too much. Ease up on the water and make sure it gets several hours of sun a day. If it hasn't been getting several hours of sun you may want to work up to that (like you would sun-tanning) because too much sun on a plant that isn't used to it can scorch it. Also do not fertilize it until it looks a little better and has more leaves. Fertilizer on a stressed plant is just an added stress--like feeding steak to a baby. Good luck.
