i had to stop drinking alcohol a few years ago, because of the medication i was on...... i managed to be a good girl for once, and i did what i was told..... only problem is that the medication left me unable to tolerate alcohol - even after i stopped taking the tablets.... so i've not had an alcoholic drink in about 5 years now....... :(

Nah, I'd keep taking the pills and get steaming anyway.

It's a well known fact that the Scottish metabolism allows us to drink while doing ANYTHING else.

Including constructing tower blocks and giving birth.

No way, next week you might be too ill to get out of bed to drink doing that, take your pills and wait until you've finished them, then go out and enjoy the drink.

I use to take both at the same time but now that I've given up drinking all together, I'm not faced with that problem.

This nurse would NOT recommend that! Lay off the booze until the medication is finished.
