Geographical proximity. Both are trying to represent the best of North London while each have a ground within a mile of each other.

Jealousy. Spurs have won squat in recent years whilst Arsenal have won league titles, FA Cups and played in a major European Cup Final.

Pulling Power. Arsenal have one of the best managers in the world who turns mediocre players into World Class players. If Arsenal wanted to they could grab "Superstars" like Ronaldinho but choose to invest wisely and bring youth players through the ranks. Meanwhile Spurs can only pick up the scraps that other teams have thrown from the table. Usually they buy crap players who remain crap players because they have a crap manager!

Quality of Play. Arsenal play with a fluid flowing motion where the ball is constantly moving and the players keep switching positions in order to get the ball forward. Spurs can't play like that because they lack the ingenuity in their players to do it. And even when they play badly they blame Arsenal, ie: Spurs v West Ham last season. The Spurs team tried to say that Arsenal had poisened their food the night before!

GOONERS all the way!

well it's because Arsenal are one of the 4 biggest teams in England, Spurs are not. Arsenal are recognized for their success and the fact that they play beautiful football, no one has said anything nice about Spurs. Wenger is praised for his managerial skills and his ability to work for the future, their manager isn't. Spurs haven't beaten Arsenal in oh about 8 or 9 years. Quite simply, Arsenal are way better than Spurs, no more, no less.

Its Arsenal who hates Spurs. Reason, well, just like they hate Chelsea. Jealous. Spur had some good investors coming in and the gunners just want to be the only successful club in London. Unfortunately its a reality they have to live with. Fulham is coming too.

Because Arsenal insisted they had to be in the 1st division at the expense of tottenham and because Sol Campbell left spurs for arsenal and cause they havent beaten arsenal in such a long time and they know they wont.

apart from the history, arsenal fans are ill educated glory hunters unable to discuss football on any level other than basic sniping and goading. apart from the last 15 years spurs were always the class act, playing football the way it is supposed to be played. they were the first to do the double also they were the first british team to win a european trophy. arsenal on the other hand always seemed to play a basic brand of the game, although successful at times, spurs fans never had any respect for the way that arsenal achieved success therefore this is seen as hatred. this attitude has stuck with spurs fans even though the gooners now play some quality footie. we all know that as soon as wenger leaves it will be back to basics for the gooners.

When Arsenal wanted to join the football league, they insisted on joining the top one.
There was no room, so the FA made room by forcing spurs to go down a league.

Arsenal are such idiots they believe that they're a North London side. They've stolen Spurs' thunder and they should really have it back.
