I think it is a fine name. Then if your daughter does not like it they can always go by their "other" name. Names have tremendous power over the destiny of a child. This name could do one of two things...

I love Marie. It's mine and my daughter's middle name. I don't care for Goddess. When I read your question, I instantly thought of a porn star. It sounds like a porn name. Sorry.
