I wonder how many people:

A) Think so as long as their music is good.
B) Are outraged and think the Dixie Chicks should be banned.
C) Don't know and don't care?

What's your take?

Basically I don't know and don't care. But I wouldn't go to see them for free. I liked some of their music but the day celeberties begin to use their popularity to spew their opinions about politics all over the world, they can take me off of their Christmas card list because I have nothing for them. Don't get me wrong, it's perfectly ok to have an opinion, I'll listen to your opinions all day long and respect them even if I disagree with them until the day I die. But don't use the stage as an opportunity to further your political agendas.

The people who witnessed this from the Dixie Chicks paid to hear them sing and most probably didn't know or didn't care what their position was on the war or on our president. I just don't think it is right to go to another country and express that kind of distaste for our leaders. I wouldn't do it about George Bush, I wouldn't do it about Bill Clinton. It was disrespectful and I have lost all respect for them.

You forgot D) or do you think they should be the front runners to being number one for women (the Dixie Chicks) of the year 2007? My answer would be the Dixie Chicks should be number one women (for womens singing group or band) because I love how they feel about the guy who runs this country and, furthermore, I love the Dixie Chicks not as sexual objects (yeh, I'm a guy) but as individuals who care about our home land, the usa, and not too many women that I know of who stand up to the prezident, Bush, who never got my vote, and I pity this country for bush and the bush administration, and the Dixie Chicks are the kind of chicks I'd love to kick back with, yes, now they are all purely sweet and if I ever get married I want a woman who will stand up to me when I'm wrong. Love, rm pinkfeet.

I personally like their music and applaud them for expressing their opinions in their music despite public opinion. They have every right to express their opinions however they feel. As the Grammys have nothing to do with politics, but with good music, the Dixie Chicks should NOT be banned.

The Grammys are about music, not a political platform. If their music is good and deserves to win a grammy, then they should be allowed to be there and accept if they want to.

It's amazing how a few little words by Natalie Maines caused them to be ostracized and threatened, when freedom of speech is precisely one of the things US troops are fighting to protect.

they should only be banned if you are going to ban everyone else with an opinion. just because it wasnt a very popular one at the time doesnt mean they are not good musicians and thats what the Grammy's are about. Music.

Part of an artist being appealing is the personality that goes behind the music. They have been pretty beligerent and even if the music was good, which it isn't, I don't think they should be there.

A. They took a stand and that made a lot of people angry. I
think more of them for having the guts to say how they feel.
