Give them a walk down memory lane! Go to www.ebay.com and do a search for the year they were married. Buy some items from their wedding year such as magazines & calendars.
Make up a book for them about the year they were married, list the top songs for that year, the top radio shows, etc. Print out some pictures of cars from that year and make a page in the book for those.
Good Luck!

48 bottles of beer with a custom label printed up with their wedding picture on it.
or wine if you have some more money.
You can print the labels on your computer. Try to put a different picture on each one - in chronological order if possible. Their wedding picture on the first one. Number them all so they share them in order.
It'll be a lot of work but I bet you have fun making them. Just scrape the labels off of a beer they like.
If they don't like beer or something, it can be 48 of anything that they like to share, so long as you can manipulate the label. You can probably make a custom outer wrapper for chocolate bars too.

How about a photo album of all the kid, grandkids, starting when you were little. It could be vacations, pets, holidays, etc. If you have some friends that scrapbook, they could advise you on supplies. I'm sure your parents would love to have those memories consolidated in one place.
Have fun!

Find an old picture of them when they were young. One they probably don't even remember. Have it blown up and put it in a nice frame.
