One on one, Dwayne Wade or Kobe Bryant, who do you think would win(explain why)?

I think this SHOULD be a no brainer..... After this years matchups between Heat & Lakers D-Wade proved something, scoring 40 on X-Mas and then scoring 35 on MLK Day, D-Wade proved that Kobe along with TWO other Lakers can't contain him. Kobe defended Wade all game for both games and he couldn't stop Wade. Wade was killing Kobe so bad that the other Lakers started to help Kobe by doubling & tripling on Wade and that still didn't slow Wade down. So for you people who says that Kobe gots the defense needs to forget about that, because Wade scoring 40 & 35 points on KOBE'S HEAD means Kobe's D appearantly isn't good enough to stop Wade. But on the other hand, Kobe got shut down, scoring 16 on X-Mas & 25 on MLK Day(both below his scoring avg.), that proves Kobe could be contained. So by Wade's speed advantage over Kobe & the proof of this years offensive dominance over Kobe, I 'll be dumb to say Kobe would win. It's been proven that Kobe can't hold Wade...... So I'll have to say with Wade!!

1 on 1 is completely different than going at someone ina game because you can't pass the ball out or go for any of those fakes

Kobe bryant has a lot more moves and can get by Wade while Wade won't guard Kobe in the games and can't guard him now

Kobe is also taller and can drive and hit the outside shot easily shooting over Wade

Kobe is a better defender and in a 1 on 1 contest it goes to who wants it more and Kobe hates to lose

Kobe all day every day would beat Dwayne! Kobe is the best all around player in the game, he IS the next Jordan, he's just a year away from the Finals. Dwayne can take over a game, but not like Kobe can. Kobe has more game-winners, more experience, and more rings. Don't get me wrong, Dwayne is a hell of a player, but he'll need a couple of years to get on Kobe's level. Without Shaq, Dwayne's team has been under .500%. Kobe's been without Shaq for three years now, and he has gotten his team in the playoffs last year, pushing the Suns to the limit, and they will do the same this year, and will probably go deep into the playoffs. Kobe is not stronger and bigger than Dwayne, but he can do almost anything he wants to against Dwayne.

You presented good stats but you never mentioned that Kobe & Wade were matched up during a "team" game when the posted those stats-not one-on-one, which means Kobe was most likely being double or triple teamed on most shots. I'm gonna have to go with KOBE!!!

It's definitely Wade... have you seen him on isolation plays? That's basically what one-on-one is, except there is no help available. Kobe probably would score but Wade is good enough defensively that Kobe wouldn't score EVERY time. MIA did double Kobe when he got shut down though, so it isn't Wade's slowing down #24. Wade would win though.
