A tamagotchi! i'm nine and i have a tamagotchi! there at toys r us. $15.00! get a tamagotchi v4!

It really depends what she likes to do. Board games, science kits, and books are good if she likes those, but for a safer bet I might go with arts and crafts or dolls. For arts and craft kits, Klutz (site below) has some great stuff for 9 yr old girls. Some of my favorites are shrinky dinks, the incredible clay book, window art, and the body book (where she can make her own skin, nail, etc, treatments). Take a look at the site and pick an age appropriate book that you think she would like.
For dolls I would recomnd Manhattan groovy girls. They are soft, but they look like real little girls (unlike barbie). Plus they have really cute and fun outfits and accessories.

Get her a tamagotchi!!! Those are so awesome. The v4 just came out and they are only like 15 bucks or whatev. Do it!!!
