The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists by Robert Tressell is an absolute masterpiece. If you aren't a socialist when you start to read it, you certainly will be when you have finished it. It should be required reading for all school leavers, to help them understand the principles of fairness in the workplace.
Long live trade unionism!

The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists. Worth a read if you have nothing better to do, like setting fire to your mother in law or
climbing Mount Everest.
