The gap is too wide you should have asked by year it will be difficult to remember that far back, in terms of what was released and when... more that likely a lot of people will be hearing more recent songs and that's the delimma i'm facing.. can't remember what was released how long ago. But my favorite for 2006 would probably be Why Her by Monica.... but when I think of that time range quite a few come to mind, the artists have all been doing very well lately.. here's a few of my favorites for that time period:

Irreplaceable - Beyonce
These Streets and Spilled Milk - Tanya Stephens
