Bowling was utilized in the 1994 Summer Olympics as an exhibition sport. There were also other sports used for exhibitions and all those athletes earned gold medals as well. I'm just hoping that the IOC will finally have bowling as a permanent Olympic sport too in the near future. Team USA fared pretty well, but did not bring home the gold. With all the talent the US has in bowling now, it's going to be hard for anyone else to beat us.

OK Surprise. A section of the Olympiad at the 4 year sponsor
sites(newest olympian national stadiums) is already using the
bowling sport. The triathlon has a companion event, like the
three part seasonals, the couples, and family levels have sponsor
activities from Boating, yachting, Ambassador, Dance, and
carriage racing. These are often called the five star hotel sports and are the full, stadium fan event workers, and athletes
all day package. To present bowling in ambassador, dance and
event shows the sponsor individuals usually get product
sponsors and an announcer and makeup a points and all
around points system, they chose teams from the nationals
that are interested. Generally they have to mind the prizes,
and participant rules and not cause scheduel issues for athletes. Check the couples and sponsors for past events.

Even though bowling is a recognized sport by the Olympic committee it will not become an Olympic sport. There are to many summer sports in the Olympic games. Rugby, Boules, Mountaineering would probably become Olympic sports before bowling.
