In the old days before makeup, they used to gently pinch their cheeks, until they achieved the redness they desired.

Oh my God, why would you want that? A little bit of rose colour is pretty, but I have naturally rosy cheeks and it can be ANNOYING because I always look like I'm blushing and when I exercise my face turns really red! I actually don't have VERY rosy cheeks, but it can still be annoying sometimes. Luckily, I have dark hair and light skin, so I look kinda like a porcelain doll. :) But i think if you want rosy cheeks, you have to use make-up. But I'm not sure. Try Google searching it. (Sorry if my answer wasn't helpful, and it probably wasn't. So, sorry!
I suppose eating healthy and exercising regularly would give your skin a healthy glow, but I can't guarantee red cheeks.

I don't know about you but my face is naturally "blushed." I can't get rid of it. When I exercise, they turn bright red! It's annoying sometimes. I would use blush, why can't you use makeup? If you don't want to use blush, then pinch or rub your cheeks...but that will only last a little while, or allow yourself to get a little bit sunburned.
