Alf is a alien from another planet. Its from a TV program that was on NBC. Was a guy in a costume. Kinda looked like a big dog w/ an oversized nose. Was like a brown / orange color.

Alf was an acronym for "Alien Life Form." Short-lived live action sitcom and Saturday morning cartoon. On rare occasion (like in the title sequence on the sitcom), you would see a full-body shot of him walking. Otherwise, he was always shown from the waist up. I'm sure there's an article on wikipedia.

Alf stands for Alien Life Form. He was a sort of dog-like critter (a puppet) from another planet who starred in a TV series in the early 80's, I believe.
Never watched it m'self, but there you go.
