Yesterday afternoon my husband called and said that he was going to take me and my friend Jessica out to a business dinner at 7:00 p.m. and he wanted us to be ready. Well, it was about six o'clock and Jessica and I were all dressed up and waiting for my husband to get home. I just was soooo hungry that I wanted something just to tide me over so I started eating some sour gummi worms that I had in a jar on the kitchen counter. Right as I was eating some my husband came in the door and saw me and was really displeased with me. He came over and grabbed the jar and dumped it down the garbage disposal and then took it out on the back porch and busted it. Then he came inside and slapped me on the butt really hard and told me he was so displeased with me that I would spoil my appetite before dinner. He told me I couldn't have any more candies for a month because of it. I was so upset I started crying and at dinner I couldn't finish my salad because I was so upset, not b/c I ate candy.

My husband thought it was because I spoiled my dinner with candy though. :( Its just that I love eating little candies now and then and I can't have them for a month and I'm really sad. What can I do to feel better?

I am sorry but you are not married to your father. Where does your husband get off taking candy away from you for a month? What are you a child? You are suppose to be his wife. And he should treat you like one.

Ok, I'm confused, is he your husband or your dad? How old are you? How old is he...did you want to marry someone who was going to treat you like HIS child? If my husband ever did that to me, HIS appetite would have been spoiled because he would have been eating his own b--ls for dinner that night.
Be an adult and be your own person...he doesn't own you and you are not his child...if he wants kids that can be worked out between the two of you...stop crying and realize he has no hold on you other than the one you allow him.

hi,
stop being a baby, you are a grown woman aren't you? then start acting like one. you don't need someone to tell you when or how long before you can have a piece of candy or a gummy bear. grow up and stand up to your husband.

Girl, you have got to do some soul searching to find out what exactly you are to him. To me, he treats you like one of his kids. That is not a marriage. This is a parent trying to learn his kid a lesson. Girl, you are so much better than that. Talk to him and let him know that you married him to be his wife not his kid and if he keeps on, leave. God did not put us here to be treated like that. Stand up for your self and good luck.

Grow a spine. Husbands and wives are equal in marriage and he only gets to punish you because you let him. Divorce this pud, and go live on your own for a while until you can have an equal relationship with someone!

I'm sorry, but I think your husband has a problem. Does he treat you like a child all the time? You two need to talk.
