Carlos Zambrano SP - Chicago Cubs

Name another pitcher who will break a bat over his knee because he struck out, or who has successfully managed to get himself tossed out of the opening game with 4 2/3 innings pitched while his team was leading by 6 or more runs costing in 2 back-to-back seasons costing him a win in each. He's wild and just crazy good.

Oh and screw the guy who said David Eckstein. If he had any talent, he wouldn't need to hustle on the most routine of plays.

Miguel Cabrera. He's an excellent young player with many more years of production to come. He's an excellent role model cuz he's the team leader and never shows off or makes a boneheaded comment.

Paul Konerko. He once took an inside pitch to the nads. When asked about it in the locker room he said "I once said I would give my left nut for the team, but I guess they took it literally".
Add that humor with a monster postseason in 2005, and that pick is easy. And his numbers are not too bad either.

Mariano Rivera and DJ
They just pour it on day after day, and are true warriors and never give up. Every single day they play with the same amount of intensity and focus, and are truly inspirational players. Even when things are looking bad, they are still literally playing their hearts out.

David Eckstein from the St. Louis Cardinals. He gives 100 and 10 percent every time. I also like how he runs to first base when walked, but doesn't trot like some of the bigger names like Bonds or Pujols.
