In public transportation the state of Orlando does not require children to be in a car seat. In a vehicle that you drive, you are required to have them in a seat. So a bus, towncar transfer, taxi, etc. you do not need to have a car seat. But, it is always a good idea to verify this before you leave.

Some taxis will carry a safety seat just in case, but not all. You should also look into a private transfer, such as a towncar, they are almost always less than a taxi and are much cleaner and the service is better. As far as I know, almost all of the transfer companies Orlando have car seats for children for convenience for the parents.

Have a great time!

You should bring his car seat. Or, better yet, contact the cab company ahead of time and arrange for THEM to provide one. You run the risk of it being broken, but if you get a good company, they actually go a pretty good job of keeping child seat in good condition.

you will probably need at least a booster seat for the ride in the car. It is safer for him this way, and most states require it.
