I'm not sure how to answer this.
I used to think a good marriage was one where you never had to communicate.
Now I know a good marriage is one where you do communicate.
So based on that, marriage should be a sentence...but doesn't that seem wrong somehow?

It´s a word..you kinda need more words to make a sentence, however depending on the context, it can be considered as a sentence. (Like in lyrics or well, in some other artistic way,..but yeah initally its only a word.)
Edit: Ohh duh you meant that kind of sentence lol..whoops..ah well in that case, no its not a sentence, if you marry the right person. So its a word.
:D

Marriage is a word.
A sentence must involve a subject and a predicate. To put it simply, a sentence has a noun and a verb... or even more simply, a thing and an action.
For an example, "They got married" is a sentence.

Nice avatar.
Marriage is word that means - to me - committment. It's not something that I feel constrains me.
We're lovers and we're a team. It's us against the world.
