What did you sing, what did you wear, what did the judges say, and how long did you have to wait? What AmIdol season did you audition for? Are the judges cool in real life? Most of all, did you get a golden ticket?

I did "She Bangs" by Ricky Martin. I waited many hours. I was season 4. The judges were not cool. I only like Paula. I did not get a golden ticket. But I still put out my own CD and sang Rocket Man by Elton John.

I auditioned the year Carrie Underwood won. (season 4?)

1) I sang "Maggie May" - Rod Stewart and "Bring it on Home to Me" - Sam Cooke

2) I wore boot cut Levi jeans and a fitted long sleeve black shirt

3) I arrived at about 7:00pm in Cleveland at the stadium and stood in line until about 3:00pm the next day and auditions were the FOLLOWING morning at about 4:00am. We slept in the stands and it rained most of the day.

4) I think season 4

5) You have to be screened by a number of producers before you see the trio of Randy, Paula and Simon. If you do make it through the first 2 waves of producers, your next audition is 3 days later.

6) I would say about 7 of 10 people there were as good as or better than me vocally. I am a pretty good singer, not delusional at all, (www.cdbaby.com/lylemiller - see for yourself) and the vast majority of people who moved on were the morons you see on TV who REALLY can't sing. The producer I auditioned for told me I had a great voice, but was not what they were looking for. Judging by the others I saw go through, I couldn't agree more!

7)No...I didn't even make the "trio" stage...not ridiculous enough, I guess.

Nope.
But before I met and married my husband and have a family I did think about it doing it but they never came to my city.

For some reason I was a lot more brave to try anything like that when I was single.

i know i have zero talent and i am not willing to put myself on the chopping block like that...although the big black dude from the san antonio auditions this season...i would pretend to talk smack like that because that was the funniest thing ever!
