I knew a graduate assistant when I was in grad school. I can't even remember his name, but he was dumber than a box of rocks. And you're right... many, if not most, people are half-wits, or shy an excessive amount of gray matter. Common sense is not all that common.

Beware of people who come across as thick, they are smart. They can get away with almost anything because people think they are thick. I have met many so called half wits who know exactly what is going on but just to get away with stuff are willing to be labelled stupid. And whats worse it actually works, so who are the stupid ones?

I was doing a temporary job one time and we were all being shown how to use the computer. It was very simple stuff and we all got the hang of it quickly except for one guy. He had to have it explained to him about five times more and he kept assuring the supervisor that he understood.

He came in the next day and had to have it explained to him another three times.

He eventually quit because he couldn't get it into his head. Now that's dumb.

it's a tie between one girl, who when watching an educational movie about the kkk, asked who the people wearing the white sheets on their heads were (she was 14 years old and completely serious)

and another girl, who said "i believe that it is perfectly acceptable to have "under god" in the pledge because, like, i mean, everyone believes in a higher power, even atheists"
