I have an older 128mb thumb drive from Memorex. I had no problems using it before, had transferred many files. Now when I connect the thumb drive to the USB port, it will not "read" the drive. Before it would autostart, but it does not now. I also tried going to my explore screen to look for the drive, but it does not show. I have a tried this on my home desktop, laptop, and work desktop. The USB port seems to be working just fine with any other device. Since I am running Windows XP on all computers, it will not allow me to download any new drivers. Memorex's website was absolutely no help at all. Thank you for any help! = )

Make sure that there is no physical damage to the thumb drive and that the usb connector has not come loose or been damaged since that can sometimes happen. I hope you didn't have important data on there since it may be quite hard to retrieve it.

For thumb drives you absolutely will flow for fat because you'd be transferring you force from pc to a unique and that i don't have self assurance you're able to have the alternative to format it as NTFS
