I was just curious to know the difference between the two and what kind of shoes/footwear might go with which? Thanx!

Straight leg jeans is basically that straight. It doesn't hug your lower leg section i.e. calf to ankle. Skinny jeans are just the opposite; they hug your entire leg from your hips down to the ankle. And skinny jeans are usually made up of stretchy material so it is very figure hugging. Flat shoes work great with both of these jeans. I wear straight leg myself. In warmer weather, I wear flats with mine, but right now since it's winter time, I tuck my jeans inside my boots. Skinny jeans is perfect if your wearing boots beause it fits right inside. I've seen people wear heels with both, but whatever you wear, make sure your comfortable with it. It's your style so strut your stuff! Have fun!

Straight leg jeans are not necessarily skin tight whereas skinny jeans are. Also straight leg jeans go down past ur ankle, while skinny jeans go in at ur ankles. I suggest wearing heels with either, but this look goes particularly well with skinny jeans. Very in at the moment aswell.

Straight leg jeans don't flare out at the bottom; they just come straight down. However, skinny jeans are stretchy-like at the bottom at your leg, so they kind of "hug" your legs. Personally, I think that skinny jeans look TERRIBLE on some people, especially this one chich from my school is kind of chunky. Don't take this the wrong way or anything, but if you're chunky you may not look your best in skinny jeans.
