The only Australians I've ever met are pretty opinionated and cast a lot of other people down for being different and thinking differently from them. Is that a typical characteristic of Aussies? I hope not!

The one I know is (he a guy!) (sorry) but he can be okay most of the time. I have a girl friend (she's a friend who is Austrailian and she is nice! More of them probably seem like they're that way because they are British. And I do hope that is not their characteristic as well.

Everyone is really opinionated, it's just that in some cultures people are more bold and loud about sharing those opinions.
