well if you believe science.. then about four and a half billion years ago HOWEVER if you are one of those who believe The Bible, then earth was fromed "in the begining" on day one.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

Only God knows that answer. We're only stupid humans who like to THINK we know everything. We may have created skyscrapers and planes that fly and miracle drugs but I have YET to see a human that can produce a glorious sunrise or sunset.
