Its 7dpo and yesterday I had pains in my tummy but no spotting. Could this be implantation pains - what should it feel like and how long does it take for the egg to implant once its reached the uterus? What should CM be like at this stage?

I am also 7 dpo. This is a really great site: www.twoweekwait.com

I've had twinges (like a pinch) in my lower right. It could be implantation but women don't usually feel it - the only sign you MIGHT see is a bit of pink when you wipe. CM (cervical mucus for other readers) should be almost non existent and clear.

I was told implantation usually occurs around the same time you'd start your period.

Check out that web site. Good Luck!

Check out "A Child Is Born" by Lennart Nilsson. Implantation takes place eight days after conception...some research says 12, but this book says eight. Pain can occur, but a very small percentage of woman actually feel it or have light spotting. As far as CM, my research tells me that it is not a good gauge of reading pregnancy. They say that if you are pregnant that the CM becomes thicker to help form a plug for the cervix. But I just took a HPT test (2 days late) and it was negative, and I have had heavy CM...so who knows! Best of luck!

Hi,

Implantation can occur from 4 - 10 days after conception - and usually around the 7 day marker. So you could be feeling implantation twinges.

CM - it is usaully creamy and lots of it - but every woman is different.

Just keep you fingers crossed, keep busy and wait until at least day 15 to test - as HCG doubles every day after implantation you would be unlikely to get a strong positive result before then.

Best of luck

pains here and there can bw normal, but if they are repepeated and in one spot and increasing in intensity its best to call doc to rule out ectopic pregnancy. watch out for bleeding too, that coulkd be a sign of miscarriage.

sorry re 7dpo i dunno what that means. nor CM
