There was a Super Bowl that depicted a robot welder in an auto plant being fired for making a mistake and then was unable to find a good job and eventually jumped off a bridge. A Suicide Prevention Group claims this will cause people to jump off of bridges. Is this a valid point, or political correctness carried to the extreme of stiffling humor or speech?

Anyone who is going to jump off a bridge is going to do so because they have personal issues and not because they watched a superbowl ad.

Its political correctness gone mad, just like banning the snickers ad with the two dudes kissing and then ripping out chest hair.

That commercial made me soo sad for that little robot but as it turns out, he was having a very bad dream. I don't think commercials make people do anything....we all have freedom of choice so, if anyone is going to jump off a bridge, it's because they want to...not because the robot did it in his nightmare.

If I were contemplating suicide, I don't think I would have been in the mood to watch the Superbowl, therefore, I would not have seen the commercial. If a person is in a state of wanting to end their life, I don't think they really care what's on TV and I think there's a lot more going on in their life that would cause those feelings besides a commercial.
