you didn't mention what kind of code you were trying to add?
Did you cut and paste the whole code correctly?

I am not familiar with the forms on myspace. However, I am confident there is a 'Magic Button'. Sometimes it is the enter key and sometimes there is a 'Magic Button' off to the side or down at the bottom. Scroll around to see what might be hiding off the edge of the screen and make sure to hit the enter key after you change a field.

No you dont have to make a new account just make sure you are adding all the code and not just part of it.
