It is obvious that McClaren is Sven's crony. He could not field a decent England team with all the players to choose from. Mind you, he has the choice of every English players to choose from, and should not expect 1 or 2 players to help him win the matches. Football is a team sports not an individual games. Look at his pathetic formation, 4-5-1, and his choice of players. Crouch as the lone striker? When I saw the list, I was like, this must be a joke right? Anyone knows that the beanpole striker is not suitable to play in that position. He could have chosen someone else or play in a more familiar 4-4-2 formation. He is still making the same mistake that Sven is making: Lampard & Gerard in the same team. Either he is still listening to Sven or have no idea how to manage those prima donnas, and someone in the team is calling the shots (sound familiar?), then surely, England is definitely never going to win anything.

McClaren IS Sven! Giving him the England job was like making Jade Goody head of the Commision for Racial Equality.
He spent 5 years preparing what we saw in Germany and now we can see that Sven must have achieved something because this squad/team are serious under achievers.
I didn't even bother to watch the game last night, which is the first time in many years i have missed an England game. I knew what was going to happen!
The FA could find itself where it is still paying its last two managers while advertising for another!!! What a farce!!!

I agree. It is a joke to say "We had players out" Who did we have out? Two defenders (Terry, Cole) and we let in 1 goal. Rooney and Lennon. So this "It is not his fault, players were out" argument is bull. To use that argument you basically say that without Rooney we can't possibly win.
To play at home with one striker? That is a treasonable farce, even my 9 year old nephew questioned that one. Lampard and Gerrard don't work together, how long will it take to stop trying. I suggest Lampard is not played again. Go for people with heart like Barton.
Get rid of that joke McClaren before it is too late.

Not all McClaren's fault. He is a great 1st team coach, proven at Derby and ManU. Maybe players should be made to apply to play for the England team to see who is keen and commited rather than just expecting a call up. This wouldn't contradict FIFA rules which state that if called up and not injured then they have to play. It would put off the "Harry Enfield's Kevin character" type players who think "Oh, Mum it's so unfair, I've been called up for England again!"

Good God!!! What is wrong with English football fans, the guy has an unlucky result against a good team and half his top players where injured.....At least allow the man a few games to get into it and then maybe 5 - 10 before you lynch him. How would you feel, first day at work you make the bosses coffee wrong so you get fired????

When you look at the quality of players he's managing or coaching you can easily tell he does not deserve to manage them but it should be a world cluss player... The reason why I'm saying this is that I look at where he came from and what he's done to be the coach of one of the best team in the world.
Thanx!
