I have many stray dogs that come into my yard and like to urine on my plants. I have heard that a male dog's urine hurts and maybe kills the plants. Is this true? I would like any information on this topic and if any; sites that would explain this. Thanks!

yes, it is too concentrated and will cause a "burn" . you can try dumping water on the spot after they go, or just hosing down your entire flower bed twice a day, if you have good drainage. or try a spray or repellent that will keep the dogs away.

The acidity level in a dogs urine could very seriuosly kill your plants. Without anyones knowledge, put up a small electric fence around your plants, turn it on stun, and sit back and have some fun!!

A male dog's urine is not any worse than a female dog's. Any urine is bad for the garden...... including cat urine.

Simple answer. Urine contains ammonia. Concentrated, it burns plants. Diluted it's OK

They have electric fences just for gardens. Here in IL, I know they sell them at Farm & Fleet. Not sure who else sells them but I know they do work on keeping not just dogs, but all animals out of your garden/flowerbeds, anything you don't want the animals to bother.

Well I'd imagine that it doesn't help.
