There were more than just Lambretta or Vespa
Moto rumi were good and were twins, lambretta had a single cylinder hairdryer
mostly ridden by gays and Cliff Richard fans they should have been an evolutionary dead end,but were taken up by mods, too cheap to buy cars, who admired the scooters weather-proof ability to get them from pub to pub without staining there clothing,or spraying oil on their vast supplies of purple hearts
Real men of course rode motorcycles

It was either a lambretta or a vespa , both were Italian.
In the 1960s there were battles at seaside resorts between Mods and Rockers , Mods riding the scooters and Rockers motorbikes. The "Real men " got the hiding of their lives, The Mods clothing was soiled with all the brylcream through knocking the Rockers heads together.

Sure, back in the day before the 2 strokes got poo pooed by the green meanies most all snow mobiles were multi cylinder 2 strokes along with PWCs, and outboard boat engines. there were a few bikes that were also pretty cool, the GT 750 Suzuki was a 3 cyl touring bike then the TZ 700 &750 Yamahas were a 4 cyl race bike, actually they were banned in the racing community, just too damn fast.
