No I don't think she will. At 26, she is getting up there among women. She is a top 10 player. That's where she belongs for a while, and that's where she'll stay. She has already reached a couple of grand slam semi finals. But, that's where she has and will always hit the wall. At anyone time, there are at least three other women who are younger, stronger, hit harder, and faster than she is. With all her smarts there is nothing she can do about that. And, time is not on her side.

After being absent from the tour for three full years, she has already accomplished a fabulous and I think unprecedented come back. That's all we can ask of her. A grand slam victory would be literally miraculous for her.

Martina Hingis has been hampered by injury problems for the last few years. She was out of tennis for a couple of years with an ankle injury. Although she has made a comeback, her opponents have gotten much better since she went out of tennis and she finds it difficult to compete these days. She has always had a weak serve, so that inhibits her ability to go all the way in grand slam tournaments. I suspect she knows that, so has already made plans for her life post-tennis. She is engaged to Radek Stepanek, a tennis pro from the Czech Republic. I think she will retire from tennis after marriage.

I really think she will . She seems vet healthy, and she is just so smart out there on the court. Her tennis IQ is the highest I have ever seen from a man or women. She needs to improve her second serve for sure, the top ladies can just rip it and put her in the defensive, I would like to see her hire atop coach to help her improve that shot, I think it is time to cut the umbilical cord from her mom. I feel the same way about Sharapova time to fire her dad, and Clisters should hire a coach even if she id going to retire and have babies after this season. To be honest even with Serenas great Australian performance I would like to see her get a real coach besides her mother, If something technically goes wrong her mom can not help her, " Yelling get out of Melbourne" mat be funny and a good point to take the ball earlier, but you can not tell me she ( Serena) and Venus also would not be better of truth a teal coach who gas been there and knows what it takes.
Just look at the guys all the top men pay for the best coaches , strength trainers and hitters to practice and travel with them. There is a reason why the men like Gonzalez as a perfect example are always improving and working on some aspect of there game all the time and they are all in in real great shape. just my opinion, but I think I am right.

for hingis to win another grand slam she needs to increase her power. She is an incredibly smart player that uses a lot of strategy. That worked well for her before the williams sisters and sharapova came along, but now she really needs to hit harder or she'll have no chance against the power players.

The only way that I see hingis ever winning another grand slam is if all the big hitters are out with injuries or get eliminated by someone else. This means she must get incredibly lucky, so you never know.

I thinks that her best shot was this past Australian Open. I think that almost 8 years removed from her last final is just a little too long. I applaud her rededication to the game. At 26, she is still a great player but there are many new players that play more offensively and really use their serves as weapons. Martina plays great defense but that takes a lot of energy and Grand Slams are two intense weeks. I wish her luck... I just don't see it.

I think she will, the 'power players' ie;the Williams sisters,Mauresmo,Sharapova etc burn out too quickly whereas players like Hingis that are technically minded and rely on skill, accuracy and outsmarting opponents can continue playing for longer (look at Navratilova who has a similar style & mentality to Hingis).Hingis still has the brains and skill to run circles round a lot of the younger fitter players when she puts her mind to it.That's why she's still around long after Capriati etc who burnt out.

I think it could happen and it maybe this year with the players in the conditions that their in...but her best chance will be at the french, where she can get away with her serve a bit and most of the top players are having problem and if justine goes out early s he could have a shot. You gotta remember their is always a chance look at kuznetsova and myskina they won a slam luckily......

Doubt it, but at least she has one under her belt, unlike Anna "I'm the biggest loser in the history of professional tennis but that's OK because I'm popular and I have a hot @$$" Kournikova. Too bad Anna's taste is all in her mouth -- I mean really, Sergei Federov and LARS ULRICH?!?!!!
