I really dont know why my doctor made an opointment with a urologist, if some one know please help? And what excatley is going to happnen, please I am very nervious!!!

You need to call your doctor's office and ask why he made the appointment. That should have been discussed with you in person when they made the appointment in the first place. Don't go unless you know why you are being sent there. Remember that not all doctors are competent, strange that he would not tell you why you needed a referral. At your age, if you were not reporting any problem at all with your urinary tract or sexual issues, there should be no reason to see a urologist. YOU NEED TO FIND OUT WHY YOU ARE BEING REFERRED.

I just had to go to one yesterday. They have you sign in (sometimes). Then you wait with your papers that they give you later and when the guy comes to the door and says "next", if it's your turn you go in. He makes you wash your hands, gives you a cup, tells you to go in the bathroom and fill it up to the line he marked on the cup and then if you still have more, go in the toilet but don't flush! Oh, yeah, you have to empty your pockets in a container and take off your coat, jacket, whatever. Then when you're done the guy takes the cup, tests it, marks on the paper you had and tell you that you can go. At least that's what happened when I went in. I told the guy that I was feeling very awkward and he joked around and made me feel comfortable about the situation. If you're a guy, he might be required by law to actually watch you pee to make sure you're not cheating.

Your doctor should have told you why you are going to a urologist. They are just peepee doctors. My son goes to one on a regular basis. It's no big deal. He will look at your package, and try to determine the problem, if there is one. They are not nasty about it or anything, and they treat you in a way to make you less self-conscious about everything. Don't worry about it.

Evidently either your doctor saw (or know) something wrong about your urogenital system or he just wants to complete the check-up. Generally urologist looks at your genital organs but mainly to prostate and urethra. Sticking his finger in the anus he even can check the prostate. Are you urinating normally?

Why are you going to a Urologist? You didn't say the reason. Try to relax.. all he'll do is examine you and prescribe something for your condition (again, u didn't say why you're going).

It really does depend on why your doc made the appointment. He'll have you pee in a cup, examine you, etc. The worst that has ever happened to me there was that they wanted to catheterize me, and I talked them out of it.
A catheterization (tube inserted into your urethra) helps them get a bacteria free urine specimen. If you reassure them that you will REALLY make sure that they get a clean catch...use an alcohol swab on yourself before you pee into the cup, etc, they will usually relent.

not sure why you would be seeing a urologist at this age. are you cut, or uncut? maybe your gp thinks you need snipped. more than likely, he's spotted some problem in the genital area. did you ask him why he referred you to the urologist?
