-----Try the Kennedy Center. It is a short walk from a Metro stop. If you do not have a date, it is something of a pick-up spot. There is also a movie theater in it, the AFI Theater, showing classics; the newspaper has the schedule. There is food there, and a great (free) view from the roof. It is a big, impressive place; it should wow any date. ---Jim
