Emer`genC works. At least, it's worked for my sons and me for almost as long as it's been on the market. We all trust it and I'm such a fan that I buy several boxes at once to share with others. Two years ago a doctor ordered it for one of his clients [couldn't swallow pills] after I'd suggested Emer`genC. He'd not heard of it. Gladly prescribed it after reading ingredients lists. Last winter two clerks were working when they should've stayed at home. I immediately gave each several packets until they could find it at a drugstore or online [I carry them to share and/or use]. Both became mega-fans [one was pregnant; the other is diabetic - had to be careful what they'd try]. We've relied on Emer`genC for decades - it's never let us down [and we have four generations using it].
Not only are there 1000mg Vit C per pkt. other vitamins are in it. And, one can use it several times a day, especially when in cold/flu season. That these are in powder [vs pill] form they're more likely to work faster [pills don't always dissolve]. They're more convenient than pills. Easier to use, especially if at work, at school or when traveling.
They work because Vitamin C strengthens the cellular wall, making it tougher for germs to penetrate and initiate an illness. I don't take it routinely, just when I've been exposed to germs I'm unwilling to host. If that occurs I'll hit the Emer`genC for at least 2 days. Maybe 4 to 6 pkts each 24 hrs. I haven't had colds or flu in more than 10 yrs. [despite others' sneezing, coughing or a 24-hr virus de jous]. Extra C's keep germs locked out.
Haven't tried Airborne. Emer`genC's too much an essential, like Duck Tape and WD-40. Gifts even get mailed with Emer`genC pkts filling spaces [vs ghost poo styro noodles]! VitaCost.com sells it at low cost so frugal, health conscious buyers get a win-win-win.

I've been using Emergen-C for over a year now and I used o have a few colds every year and haven't had one yet since I started using it. At the very least it really does give you a boost of energy. I often drink it instead of coffee in the morning. And it does contain a lot of vitamins and minerals that you might not be getting enough of, so the way I see it, it's a win win.
I swear by the stuff.

Yes, Airborne does work ! The first time I took it was before I boarded a plane to Hawaii. It is recommended to be taken when you feel the first signs of a cold coming on. I have also taken it at that time and is has worked. My wife has done the same thing.
So, in a nutshell..."works for us !"

Vitamin C really works...that is part of Emergen C. Vitamin C 2000 mg per hour fo 4 hours really boost up your immune system and helps you to detox...the pharmaceultical industry used lachted on and they made a new clon prep with 11.000 mg of vitamin C...AS old as lineaus. Vitamin C in powder form is cheaper then Emergen C...check your health food store.
