Figure it out. The mean distance is 150 million km. The speed of light in a vacuum is 300,000 km per sec.

t = x/v = 150*10^6 km / 3*10^5 km/sec = 500 sec = 8.3 minutes.

Divide the distance from the earth to the sun (in meters) by the speed of light in meters/sec and you'll get the answer.
