Null is another term for void, empty, or zero.

My guess, from your description, is that you have a video card built onto your motherboard and you have an expansion slot for a AGP or PCI express video card if you decide to upgrade to a better graphics card. Since your seeing your monitor, your video is working and the system information is just telling you that you don't have a graphics card in that expansion slot.

It could be that the driver is not installed correctly, or you have an old one installed.
