I have a friend who keeps copying me. I think its coz I'm friends with one of the boys she fancies i suppose she thinks he'll like her more if she acts like me. The problem is this boy cant stand her! I'm wondering whether i should let her carry on embarrassing herself in front of him and keep copying me or tell her what i think. She's one of my best friends i just cant stand having a clone of myself following me around.

I think you should tell her the truth, and tell her that she is annoying, of course you need to be nice about it.

XxXâ¥This is a hard situation, but I think you should tell her. She's embarrassing herself in front of someone she likes & you'd hate for HIM to tell her. Just tell her that you think it'd be best if she just acted like herself & join in when you are around him. {This may not be what you want, but do it for your friend.} Tell her that he'd like her a lot more if she acted like herself.â¥XxX

Are you sure this is a friend..............If there is a particular or tangible situation you can share with her, do so. You want her to be able to understand what you are saying and how it is offending you. Approach her at the time it has happened. Ask to speak to her in private. When no one else is around.

Tell her. People say that copying is the ultimate compliment. But it's really irritating. Everyone needs to be themselves. If they don't know that they need to be told. But don't break her too bad!

Why waste your time. She obviously have issues. If she wants to copy you let her do it. You seem to be confident in yourself, she does not. Keep doing what you are doing and slowly start edging her out of your life.

Tell her, "The best way to attract ppl, is to be urself." Let her know that you dislike the way she's behaving tactfully. Let her know that you and the boy that she fancies want to see the real side of her.

I say since he doesn't like her he should tell her. That way you can be there to console her and be that voice of reason. Yeah its a bit underhanded but at least this way the two of you are not at odds.

Yeah, tell her in the nicest way possible. It's hard forming an identity, and she is obviously trying to figure out who she is.

ha! i remember when i was younger hating when people copied me however if you want to think of it as this, having someone want to be like you is actually a compliment :)
