Hello,

(ANS) I suspect what your asking is whats the definition of an earth day? The answer is, it the period in which the earth rotates so that one point on the globe comes into daylight (is illuminated by the sun i.e. sunlight) until the same point on the globe falls back into darkness i.e. shadow (night time) until the same place comes back into daylight once again. Is illuminated once again by sunlight (daylight). This period can be measured accurately as a duration of 24hrs. Meaning it takes 24hrs from sunrise to sunset to sunrise again= x1 whole earth day.

**In contrast to other planets in our solar system which have very different rotational periods & thus have much long or shorter planetary days.

**The larger gas giants such as Jupiter or Saturn have much much longer days.

it's a day were tree huggers bring awareness to global warming, pollution and ways to turn natural resources into fuels and etc. then the Earth, having such a great sense of humor, takes a big s h i t on us like it did with hurricane Katrina and other natural disasters. Funny that Planet Earth!!! lol!!!

You must have been living on Mars for the past three decades (nearly four), or however long you've been around.
