If this Netgear wifi router works with one very personal computing gadget less than pressure and one workstation instantaneous, then the major probably subject with the Vista workstation should be that it truly is in hardship-free words too a techniques from the router. The radio signal should be weakened via walls, flooring etc. carry it up next to the router and attempt again. If it really is the topic then you absolutely definately ought to ought to opt to reconsider the position the router and pcs ought to correctly be set.

You have the wireless router encoded and haven't given your laptop the password. Reconfigure the router, either turn off encryption and establish that your laptop can communicate with the router or go right to setting up the router with encryption and load the password into the laptop.
Personally, I would take option one to establish communication then set up encryption.

That happened to me. Just call the company (the brand of the router) and tell them what you said. They walked me through everything until I got it working perfectly. They told me that some of the routers didn't come with the password so the only thing I could do was to call and ask for it.

Sound like you have encrypted the router with a encryption or mac address.
I'd try a hard reset and start again. There should be a reset button at the back of the router.

most routers you can access the setting by typing in http://192.168.1.1/
You need the SSID and the wirless encryption security setting key from the router.
Then run wireless setup wizard in your my network places on your laptop and enter the SSID and the encryption key and it should connect.
