You get what you pay for: i have a sofa and loveseat that i purchased brand new and the threading is coming out on the right corner of both. Can i rethread this myself? What type of needle and thread would i need? The seller of the set went out of business. I only payed $600 for both so i dont want them reupholstred. We are buying a new set this summer but for now it is an eyesore. My other option is to purchase slipcovers i would be spending about $200 for those.

It's not easy to fix a seam. To do a proper repair, you have to take it off the frame and stitch it from the inside. If you don't want to do that, there are two other solutions:

1) sew it from the outside- pin the two sides together and sew it from the outside. Will not look the best but t's a lot less work. OR

2) get a slip cover.
